The specialist for UV-absorbing gases: DEFOR

UV gas analyzer DEFOR

SICK process automation is expanding its successful range of extractive measurement gas analyzers. DEFOR, the company’s new process photometer, detects gases in the ultraviolet spectral range. The global increase in demands for measurement accuracy in recording harmful emissions and the rising requirements in terms of identifying process gases has led to a greater need for selective gas analyzers. Nitrogen oxides, chlorine, hydrogen sulphide and sulfur compounds – many methods of measurement are simply unsuitable for such applications. DEFOR is the specialist here – even for measuring the smallest concentrations of NO or SO2.

Eye contact is more than enough: The new GM32 analyzes corrosive gases direct inside the duct. Tested to EU standards.

Eye contact is more than enough: In-situ gas analyzer GM32

In emission monitoring sulfur dioxide and nitrogen oxides are the tricky candidates to measure. The focus of SICK’s new GM32 in-situ gas analyzer, however, is not just on these measurements. The analyzer also takes on a key role in process gas monitoring, additionally measuring ammonia. The quick and precise measurements enable optimum regulation of flue gas scrubbers even when there are high levels of dust. The GM32 fulfills high demands in terms of measuring ease, is low in maintenance and takes on very difficult measurement conditions.

Self-diagnosing FLOWSIC600 2plex gas flow meter provides major advantages in the field

Gas meter FLOWSIC600 in the field

Ultrasonic meters are increasingly being used for natural gas billing purposes at transfer points on gas pipelines. Their integrated diagnosis functions enable operators to check that they are measuring the gas volumes with exact precision – which in light of rising gas prices is extremely important. The engineers in the field, however, are not always familiar with the diverse diagnosis capabilities of every ultrasonic gas flow meter. This is where the new automatically self-diagnosing ultrasonic gas flow meter FLOWSIC600 2plex offers reliability and money-saving potential.

Ultrasound technology from SICK: ... reliable even in CO2-rich gases

Gas meter FLOWSIC600 in action

Until now ultrasonic gas flow meters only worked to a limited extent in gases with a high carbon dioxide content. In order to tackle the high acoustic attenuation of such gases, SICK – leader in ultrasound technology – developed innovative sensors, path concepts and signal processing methods. The result: the  FLOWSIC600 ultrasonic gas flow meter can be used reliably and with longterm stability in practically any gas composition – including gases rich in CO2.
