Our international customer magazine SICKinsight, that was first published in 1998, today appears in 12 languages in 27 countries. In Germany, the magazine is published twice a year: the first issue appears in May and the second issue comes out in November. The customer magazine does not only contain interesting customer application stories, but it also informs you about the newest products being introduced by SICK. Furthermore, it provides you with news from SICK as well as some interesting facts from the fields of business and technology.

For this issue of SICKinsight we have chosen the main technological emphasis of "industrial communication and device integration" because our sensors are open to all system worlds prevailing in automation. Many solutions call for simple, application-compatible integration of the sensors into these automation worlds. Consequently, we are pursuing platform strategies in the areas of connectivity and network technology as well as in the field of software modules.
