Dr. Robert Bauer(Chairman)
Dr. Robert Bauer has been Chairman of the Executive Board of SICK AG since October 1, 2006. In addition, he is responsible for Products & Technology. He came to the company in 1994 as division manager of research & development, automation technology division, and in 1998, took over direction of overall responsibility for research & development. On January 1, 2000, he was appointed to the Executive Board.
Born in Munich in 1960, he studied electrical engineering with special emphasis on electrophysics/optics at the Technical University of Munich from 1979 to 1985. In 1990, Robert Bauer received his doctorate in the field of semiconductor-based integrated optics.
Reinhard BöslReinhard Bösl has been appointed Executive Board Member with effect from July 1, 2007. He is responsible for Systems & Industries and thus for the Factory Automation, Logistics Automation and the Process Automation Segment.
Born in the East Bavarian Parkstein in 1958, Reinhard Bösl studied computer science in Munich. Afterwards he held a variety of positions at Witron Logistik + Informatik GmbH, in Parkstein, and became the company’s Managing Director in 1998. Since 2004 he has been active in management positions at Krones AG, in Neutraubling, including as Managing Director of the subsidiary Syskron GmbH.
Dr. Mats Gökstorp
Dr. Mats Gökstorp has been appointed to the Executive Board effective May 1, 2013, where he is responsible for Sales & Service. He joined the company in 2003 with the acquisition of SICK IVP in Sweden and moved to Germany in 2007, becoming Division Manager and member of the Management Board. For the last few years, he has been in charge of global sales processes at SICK.
Mats Gökstorp was born in Stockholm, Sweden, in 1965. After his studies in Computer Science and Engineering in Sweden and USA he received his doctorate in 1995. In 1993 he went into business, joining a small start-up company, where he worked in several positions in areas ranging from development to sales and from 2003 until 2007 as General Manager.
Dr. Martin Krämer
Dr. Martin Krämer has been a member of the Executive Board since July 1, 2012 and is responsible for Human Resources, Procurement, Compliance, and the Legal Counsel Office. Dr. Martin Krämer has been Head of the General Legal Counsel Office since 1999.
Martin Krämer was born in Rottweil in 1960. After his law studies in Tübingen and Freiburg, he specialized in company and labor law and received his doctorate in 1999. Initially working as a laywer, he went to Lidl & Schwarz Group in 1995 as Manager of the legal department. Between 2004 and 2009 he completed the master course "International Commercial Law" at Davis University, USA.
Markus VatterMarkus Vatter has been a member of the Executive Board since July 1, 2006, where he is responsible for Controlling, Finance & IT.Markus Vatter was born in Wiesbaden in 1966. After obtaining his degree at the Technical University in Darmstadt he started his career as industrial engineer at Robert Bosch GmbH, Stuttgart. His next position was at Müller Weingarten GmbH before he went to KaVo Dental GmbH in 2001, becoming Managing Director.
